Is it worth it to make relevant comments on blogs and include your website link? Not in the comment itself, but where there's an option to include your website. Are most wordpress blogs dofollow? How do you find out if they are?
If you are using firefox then use this plugin https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/5687/ , this plugin will tell you that whether site is dofollow or nofollow Thanks
commenting on do follow blogs is a great way to increase your backlinks, just make sure you aren't posting spammy comments and are contributing to the conversation.
Great, thank you for that link. I definitely do add relevant information to the discussion. I wouldn't want someone spamming my site, so I won't spam theirs
They can be good backlinks. I just make sure that my backlink is on topic and the comment is an actual comment to the post.
Backlinks or not, if the blog is in the same niche as yours and you submit some good comments, others often follow them to your blog or website
Yes, if the blog is quality blog No, most of them are nofollow since wordpress default as nofollow Use Google dofollow blog search
I think being active on similar blogs is a really good way to get introduced to fellow bloggers and it also helps you build a community around your blog too. Yes, it's better to leave the website address 'outside' blog comment text ;-) Most wordpress blogs are nofollow, but there are quite a few that are dofollow. You can probably use some search engines.
I totally agree. Make sure your blog comments are valuable to the post so that the owner will approve them.
It is worth it just find those who allow 'dofollow' on their blogs. If they aren't dofollow, it kinda beats the purpose of doing this.
Why forget nofollow blogs, if they are good they may not be of value in SEO terms, but they may bring hits. Always worth commenting, but keep the quality of what you do up.
Even if it's a nofollow it's still a backlink, and someone with only dofollow links to their site is going to start ringing alarm bells with google. Build your backlinks so they look natural.
Not all WordPress blogs are dofollow, use a firefox plugin or a software to determine the blog is dofollow or not.
Also try using other link building techniques, search engines do like diversity and variety, blogs, forums, articles, directories etc.
As long as the comment that you post adds some sort of value to the post itself. If nofollow, others community members could still visit your site, so quality content is key. Become an authority of your topic and your backlinks will increase.
I'd look toward either Comment Luv or better yet Disqus as a way to start your blog commenting. Both offer an easier to publish service that theoretically makes it easier to find other blogs which accept links.
