I have been searching for a while now on google and youtube to see how to comment people on twitter and how to interact with our followers but just couldn't find any info on this. Finally, after having my twitter for over a year now i clicked "@mentions" and realized people have been i guess commenting us asking questions about our Jiu Jitsu Gear.

So my question is, how exactly do you comment people and how do you know if someone commented you on twitter? For example, if i asked a question on facebook to increase activity, how do I no if people answered the questions?

Also one of the @ mentions i saw earlier today asked something so i clicked reply and replied but this reply posted on my own twitters wall... does this comment get to him? This is confusing. If someone has a link to a website that explains the whole commenting process and the tags please share!

If you get a message like this @yourname What is your website URL? it means the user wants to talk to you and sent you a public mention or message which everyone can read.

Your next step should be clicking on REPLY button and you will see the tweet box already saying @username means you are sending a reply to this user.

Since these messages are public everyone can read them and see what you two guys are talking. If you are asking for some help from other user all your followers can read your message and most possibly they will jump in and reply you to answer the question.

Hope it is clear now? :)
