Comment Spamming a Scraper Site

I've recently had a few problems with one of my sites, getting pages copied having my RSS content scraped.

Yesterday I received an irate email telling me to stop “comment spamming” a site and ironically the so-called website is a scraper. The site looks genuine at first but after taking a closer look it’s definitely a scraper with around 20k pages since the start of the year.

I know that I definitely have quoted the website twice and received Trackbacks from it last year (When it looked more genuine). The guy who emailed me complained about one and only one comment, so I’m not sure how that can be comment Spam? I’ve looked around, checked Google’s cache and can’t find any comments from me anywhere. I’m thinking that he’s mistaken my trackback for a comment, but he was adamant that it was a comment.

I have asked him to record any information about comment spam in my name for future reference, not to delete the comment(s) and keep the IP(s)” so my solicitor can take further action.

So, “Comment Spamming a Scraper Site” is that an oxymoron, irony or both?
