Whilst commenting on blogs around the net, I often see comment not verified next to my name and other peoples also. So, I was wondering will that comment count towards my pagerank or does the comment have to be verified before the PR power kicks in?
I think that means that the blog owner hasn't verified that it is not spam yet. If you can see other comments like that then I'm guessing the search engines can too so it will help toward your pagerank (if its dofollow) at least unless it ends up getting deleted as spam
Usually, Drupal content management platform have this option. I never use Drupal before as I prefer to stick with wordpress. As long as you can see you comment gets published, you are getting your backlinks there once bots crawled the site. My guess is that they need to verify your email id. Or the blog admin need to confirm your comment as the admin might select to moderate all comments.
It means that it dint yet verified by blog owner. so you dont worry. you can do link building as well as. good luck.
