I was running a last check for my new blog before going live and thought I'd test out posting a comment. After I hit post, the comment went through but the name, email and url stayed behind. I found a wordpress forum post addressing the issue and they explained it this way: Comments use cookies. As long as WP thinks the same user is their it does not reset. Log out and view and you won't see this. Even if this is true (and I was able to duplicate this by dumping my cookies), the person posting to my blog wouldn't know this. All they'd see is their info being left behind for anyone to read after I've said it wouldn't be revealed. Has anyone else experienced this and what did you do? Thanks, Terri
This has nothing to do with wordpress per say. It's your browser saving the field details so that when you visit the site again and want to leave a comment you don't have to enter your name, email and url again. (I assume this is what you are referring to)
