Over the course of my 12 years or so in this business I have come to the conclusion that content related keyword deep links are the only links worth investing any time into. They days of the link spam are gone. I would like to hear any thoughts on the blog comment backlinks. Not comment spam, legitimate comments on content relative blogs. I am using several different pieces of software and a couple in house scripts to locate and build a directory of relative blogs that I can leave comment backlinks on. To be clear, comments that add content and insight to the sites in question and also link back to my site.
well I find them quite handy. By posting quality comments you can generate a decent amount of extra visitors weekly. Comments are great for deep links. Most use 'nofollow' but search engines still pick this link up. It might not count for anything pr wise but I believe they r still quite useful.
Blog comment back link are mostly useless except you want direct traffic driven to you. For search engines those links worth nothing cause they use code nofollow for those links in blog comment part.
