Read the affiliate terms for the program you are offering. It tells you exactly if they pay per sale or lead. CJ also has plenty of information about how they work right in their help files. You are likely promoting a program that pays per lead. You have a long ways to go in affiliate marketing if you don't understand the terms for the programs you promote.
