No...i don't mean every single payment processor out there...but the main ones... I'm trying to figure out the best way to start accepting payments so I can reach more people...currently i only accept paypal, money order, check, and in some cases cash. What do you do that works well for you? I'm thinking of a merchant account to professionally get credit cards, paypal, moneybookers, and a few of the other big ones... but that leads me to 'how in the world do you offer all these on one site and still make it look good'?... am i just over thinking it?...what would you really experience, big time money makers suggest for being able to appeal to the most people?
Depend on your location, assuming you are in UK you can use worldpay, chronopay, multicards, protx as well, check their fees however all are trusted.
I'm in the US ...though I would have some UK customers... though I'm not really asking which ones I should use, I've pretty much already done my research on that...I'm mainly looking for advice on how to implement them into the websites...in a way that is straightforward, neat looking, and not too overwhelming (and of course trying to figure out how many is too many)
Well, I am selling sharewares and I use services like Plimus.com and Regsoft.com which currently handles Credit Cards, Paypal, Wire Transfers, Checks and so on. That pretty much works as an integrated service. Not too sure about the integration of Moneybookers, they seems a little complicated a process as the sender needs to fund the account via wire transfer, credit card or via a bank account and if they can do that, they could probably pay you via credit card or checks or wire transfers and save on the MB charges.
I'll check those out eddy...thanks for mentioning them and i never really thought about moneybookers like that...though most of the big names like paypal and such also have those features...guess it's just for ease of use...
From my experience in online trades, as long as you support credit card payments, you probably cover about 80% of the customer base. Paypal is popular now probably because eBay owns it.
I use paypal for everything...it's just so darn convenient...i've got the debit card and everything (NOT credit card...lol)... yeah, i'll probably just get one merchant account, and paypal...like you said...that should cover everything hopefully still appreciate more comments though
