Combining Ecommerce with non-ecommerce

    Hi

I'm hoping for a bit of inspiration. We're redesigning our website and want to push the two areas of our business. I'm trying to find a way to design the site so that it pushes our ecommerce side where people will just purchase products for delivery but also our installation side where we install the products for them.

The first is full ecommerce where the customers can buy a number of products and fit them themselves - mainly residential but some commercial too.

The second is that we really want to push our own installation service which is more towards commercial customers althoguh not wholly as maybe 35% residential also use this service.

In an ideal world we'd like everyone to have us install every product but we know thats not going to happen and our supply only part of the business does very well. So I was originally thinking of having two categogories Shop and Installation with subcategories underneath. The subcategories will be similar but when they go to the shop subcategories they'll be met with all our products to buy and when they go to our Installation subcats theyll be met with info on us installing the various products and a request a quoite form at the bottom.

Is this a good idea or confusing for our customers? Has anyone got any advice - I'd really appreciate it.
