Combining Databases?

Hello, I'm currently using WP and vB on my website and was hoping to look into using the WP Bridge add-on to combine the two.

However, both of these are on separate databases and the add-on requires that you have both of them on the same database.

So my question is, how would I go about doing this?

I came up with an answer but I'm not sure how to do it or even if it is correct. I assumed that it would just involve backing up the WP database and importing it into the vB database. But in MyPHPAdmin, I can't find any "import" option anywhere, only "export".

Any help would be greatful. Thanks.

Edit: Never mind, someone on the WP Support site helped me out. Thanks.

can you quickly explain how you did it, for the sake of future searches for the same information? Thanks

yep, no problem. exactly what I said, I'm using GoDaddy so I have MyPHPAdmin. I just backed up the WP database from there and I had to edit the text file that I saved and delete: Create 'WP_database_name', as well as 'Use WP_database_name'.

Next, I went to my vBulletin database and just opened up the query window and uploaded the text file.

I think this is known as a "database dump". lolz. Here's the link to the support question over at Wordpress:

    Cheers.
