Someone used one of the pictures (watermarked) on a social network before I'd even finished making this site and there was an unexpected burst of traffic just from people searching for the domain name from the watermark.

The site has already picked up a few links from FB and Reddit. A few well-placed links here and there should see this site pick up a decent amount of viral traffic.






Search terms from Google keyword tool generated by the site.

The posts themselves are fairly short and to the point but, importantly, are written to be keyword rich.

Wordpress template has been modified so it is ad ready. All it needs is ad code dropped into place.

No, no revenue. As I'm selling the site I've haven't added any ads.

The template has been customised so all a buyer would have to do is drop their adsense code into place.

You have to dig about on the internet for suitable images at the moment. Perhaps when it becomes a more established site people will submit their own disasters but that may take a while.

 

Have you had any success with this kind of website before?

 

I've created, bought and sold so many websites over the years I can't remember what they were never mind how well they did before I sold them.

This one is a new site and I believe it to be a good idea for attracting viral traffic once it's been submitted to a few social bookmarking sites and gets picked up properly.
