.com vs .info

    .com without question is the extension to go with.
    .info lost a lot of juice when they started giving them away.
    I have banned any email address with .info from 2 of my large forums because 90% of the spambots and spammers in general were from .info.
    I used to ban 5 a day at the least now it is down to 0-1 a day.

    As has been stated several times in this thread you will lose traffic to .com with any other extension.

    Spot on -- there's is very little difference. Many .com's rank more highly than equivalent .info's, but often because they've been around for longer. With good SEO there is no reason not to develop .info's

    For certain types of site i.e. those with information on a person, activity, film etc. I feel that a .info is more appropriate than a .com
