    .com is the best!
I would not promote any .net if the .com is taken by a competitor.

Is this a money back guarantee?

I guess asp.net gets worse rankings than asp.com(a parked domain)???

so why is php.net(PHP language documenation) more popular than php.com(parents helping parents)???

I accidentally typed in php.com once and when I came to the wrong page I searched for the real php site.

what I meant was that a .com is better known and better pressed into peoples minds. It doesn't mean thier so stupid that every domain they type is with a .com at the end of it. Add whatever is appropriate. If you own a Canadian site, use .ca if your a Japanese site use .jp --- it really doesn't matter in terms of ranking.

Ahhh to see more refreshing posts like this for thinking outside the box, instead of the ones where they are brainwashed that they HAVE to have a com extension....

so if the competitor has mysite.com and it does not rank well why would it affect me if I would make a great site that ranks tops at mysite.net. If it is a national data base that does not need to be on my trucks.
