    Hello,

As stated in the title, are these domaine extensions worth registering if you're just going to sell them on? I have a few in mind that are one words (LLLLL.com.uk) that i wouldn't mind registering but only if it would be worth it in the long run, what's your opinions?

If you target people from UK, the answer is Yes

Are the people in the UK really used to this domain? Is there any difference if we offer them a service on the com domain? Would they prefer the co.uk alternative?

    No.

I've seen it once or twice, but we're used to ".com" and ".co.uk"

I think three or four years ago, some UK internet users felt more comfortable with ".co.uk" domains, thinking that ".com" was somehow US-only, but I doubt very much if that's still true now.

I can't see any attraction or value in ".uk.com", though. My guess is that people buy them (and probably unwisely) only if both the ".com" and ".co.uk" versions of what they want has already been registered.

I have not seen much of an aftermarket for .com.uk. I have several co.uk names parked with NameDrive and one financial name in particular does quite well. Additionally, .co.uk has many good sales in the aftermarket. When I do bulk name checks on premium names, many times only the .org.uk extension shows availability.

Of course, you may have a specific target market that would work better on another .uk extension, but .co.uk is clearly king at this point.

The .UK.com is a subdomain, don't waste your money buying subdomains. Just look at the Web.com subdomain fiasco.

I wish I owned LL.com names so I could make a fortune selling subdomains!
