.com .org .net etc. Are they all the same?

    hello,

is there different in importance of a link depending on its domain extention?

in other words, does a PR5 .com link is better than a PR5 .org link or vice versa? or all the extentions are the same in importance and no one is better than the other?

    Thanks

    No difference at all.

Even the initial thought of added value for .edu domains is right now quite disputed.

No difference, all are the same, except that .coms and .nets are easier to be recognized

For PR, it's all the same. Key question to ask (and answer), though, is where is your target market? If they are students, getting .edu links can be very beneficial.

Should be exactly the same as far as PR goes. No difference at all.

A difference comes when you start getting type ins to your site. In the world of webmasters it doesnt matter, but for the rest of the world .COM is still King.
