I just registered a .org domain for a non-profit site. Obviously .com is the more popular domain, but I think .org domains are just as reputable - if not, more. Most charities and non-profit sites use .org TLDs.
.com is the best. What is .eu for? Also is it useful? Its the cheapest domain type ever. 99p per year.
.com will the the fist thing some will type in when rembering your website to come back to plus its cheaper the .org
The .com domains are probably much more known and common. The really don't affect rankings in search engines but people might get more for selling same domain names but with the .com extension.
Yes,buyer will pay less if your domain is .ORG not .COM. But both of them make no different in term of SERP ranking.
Its a quite rubbish question you asked, .com is for commercial domains and .org for organizational domains and people are using to sell it, There is no reason to sell such domain until you are selling entire organization, it has no external value until its a great name
Yet your blog has .co.cc -- definitely more ugly than .org -- Domains are simply a place holder for people to remember. .com sure is default in most people's minds however so is Google. Therefore, in a sense it wouldn't necessarily matter if you chose .com over .org, with good advertising including SEO and SEM, any gTLD can be branded and stuck into people's minds. But ultimately, it really comes down to personal choice and what suits better for your site.
If it's available, getting the .com goes almost without saying. Unless you are specifically a charity or something.
Yes, if avaliable, you should get a .com. But, if a .com is not avaliable, do not get a .org because people will assume it is a .com and will go to somebody's site. Always get a .com unless you are an organization which will help credibility.
Most of the users are used to .com domain names. So it will be easier to remember your name this way.
