.com or .net domain for Russian affiliate website?

    Are there any things that should be considered when choosing a TLD for an affiliate website in Russian language?

    As far as I know Google claims that they treat .com and .net the same, but I do not quite believe it.

    .ru domain url is best option for you because it is Russian search engine friendly.
