All I am saying is that a lot of spammers took advantage of the low cost .info domains and this has probably affected the search engines trust of them.

OK, Funds.info selling for 22K. Do you want more? :) Saying it doesn't mean anything is bollocks. It shows there's trust in the extension.

Sorry what I am trying to say is that you can't say that the reason for these sites' successes is having a .info TLD.

Neither site content nor success is determined by your TLD. It sounds like you are saying that .info domains have some advantage over other TLD's but I don't think that that is the case. The sites that you gave will be successful for other reasons than using a .info TLD.

I completely agree with that. All I am trying to say is, there is more to the domain space then .com In saying that though, a website starts with a good domain.

It's certainly easier to get desired keywords in .info. But, for site rememberability, you gotta have a .com

its all about the SEO so extension doesnt really matter if you are doing good SEO . But a .com is preferred ;) ( sounds better )

Ranking for the single word "keyword"? I have never ever built a site with the aim of ranking for a single keyword, i'd say: look at a larger set of keywords.
