.com OR .info for better SEO

I have a question regarding domain names for seo. is there any difference b/w .com or .info domains for better seo? do google prefer .com extention?
whatever keyword write in google search box it only show .com websites first. why it does not include .info domains in first page?
tell me simply is there any difference for SEO if yes then how much?

 

Yes .com .net .gov .org domain is more authorized than .info domains .. google passes more value to these domains.. but if your site is all about the info then you will get the full value for it ...

 

.com is best in every purpose. If your site related to organization then choose .org and if your site related to government so i suggest you to choose .gov .

 

the .com domain for my keywords are already registered. and the site is all about jobs information.
but i want to create it for google adsense.
so i want to know weather it can get top place in seach result or not.
it has all keywords in domain name but .info extention.

 

.com is more better than .info for the seo purpose because google gives more value to the .com domains than .info domains

 

In the beginning .com will be better but after a while quality and authority will be important and extension will have 0.01% of influence

There is not much of the differences between them. People prefer .com because its easy to click ctrl+enter then to type .info...otherwise both are same.

 

In general .com always have more benefits than another tld, other than .gov, .edu or any other government domains.

 

commercial .com is the better for SEO. about info. domain may be Google consider spamming site. if you can find online there are most .info domains are consider as a spammy.

yes .com definitely . When you surf the web and you find yourself in a .info domain you won't rely on it as much as you would on a .com domain, and in terms of seo its the same thing in terms of authority. I'm speaking for myself, im not too kind in .info domains, and I guess most of the people too, when you see a .com you instantly relate to it more than a .ifo.. I guess.

 

First prefer .com domain for commercial website, if your site is information related than .info domain is ok.

 

In general, it all depends on your website topic. If you are going to launch services based website, then .com is no doubt a good choice. But if you are planning to launch a website for the sole purpose of providing information (like WikiPedia and etc.), then .info TLD is good.

For SEO point of view, .com domains do have more weight in SERPs but it also depends on your SEO strategy that how you manage to avail top ranking in SERPs. So, there is no much difference in .com or .info domains, it's your website topic that is more important.

 

I would disagree with many of the comments here - I don't think Google penalises a site just because of its TLD. So you've got as much chance ranking your .info site as your .com site - it's all about links and content.

However what is true is that consumers don't trust .info sites as much as .com, so you're likely to get a lower CTR from your search results with a .info domain. So ultimately, I would always prefer a .com over a .info - but for a consumer trust POV, not an SEO POV.

.com is the best way for the customers to remember the name, I do not think that google cares about the website is ".com" or ".info"

 

It really doesn't matter. It all comes down to your content and link building skills.
