Columns with wordpress categories and subcategories

    I am trying to find a php code for wordpress where I can display 4 columns wide and 2 rows. Each column would contain the parent category image, the parent category and 5 subcategories (most popular) and a more link to the parent category at the end. Can someone direct me in the right direction or if you have done something like this and willing to share?
