Interesting but I think I could have done this on Fireworks.

 

You can also read colour values directly from a web page with ColorZilla plugin for Firefox.

 

Theres also a freeware app called Pixie, its a floating window that gets detailed color information for the pixel under your mouse. It doesn't require taking a screenshot.
