CollegesLink.com PR3

    Simple PR3 site

    http://www.collegeslink.com

I bought this site a long time ago and really never got around to caring about it.

    Stats have been growing steadily:
    http://www.collegeslink.com/webstat/

Has about 58 pages indexed in google which I think is the whole site.

Part of the purchase is a turnkey area to buy termpapers.
    http://www.collegeslink.com/termpaper/
I never made a sale on it though.

This site never had much value to me but maybe it will for you.

OMG...I just realized something...I never changed the adsense code at the site!!!! STUPID STUPID STUPID! BAH! SOMEONE SLAP ME! :-(

Well I still want to sell but obviously I have no adsense revenue. That kinda sucks and if the site don't sell then at least I got to change the adsense code.

The site is also part of a college affiliate site which pays $9 a lead. Not a single lead yet though. The code is right on this one too. However there has been 440 clicks since I started the site. I wonder if changing that banner to something ppc would really do well.

I am looking for $200 BIN on this. I will consider lower offers but it's really $200 I would like for this. It's a clean looking site and with a little optimizing could get double it's current uniques pretty easy. Throw some weight or LV at this and you are good to go.

Feel free to ask any questions.

Are all the colleges in a mySQL DB?
What is the format of the db?
Obvious question, but does the DB come included?

The site is all static php pages with includes for elements like the colleges list, footer, and sidebar. It's a fairly easy site to manage.

oh btw in case anyone is interested I may just sell clones as I am getting very little interest in the site..

I can do clones for $40 each. However once I start to sell clones I will NOT be selling the site itself as that would not be fair to the collegeslink.com buyer.

I'd definitely be interested in something like this, but it seems like there would need to be some sort of "value added" to the information. For example, if somebody wanted to know the URL for UC Berkeley, s/he would be more likely to Google it than look it up on that site (or a clone of that site), don't you think? A database with more information, such as size, cost, acceptance rates, selectivity, etc., would certainly be more attractive, in my opinion.

You want proof that there is no revenue? uhh..cuz that's what I stated.

Also I would assume the buyer would want to add some of the things mentioned in the previous post. If I went and added all that I would want a lot more money than $200.

    Thanks for the interest though.

It looks like I am gonna keep the site and I already started to make changes and promote the place. I think I can work the site up to PR4 or PR5 and get at least $25 a month from it. A couple more weeks and it will be ready. I am gonna throw some vaultage at it and add some articles asap. Maybe I will get a DB of colleges as suggested.

Is it too late to offer you $200 for it?
