Collect opt-in at freebies?

    Is it allowed? I mean offering free stuff but people must fill email to download..

    It would be allowed as long as you will not use the email Spam the person and you own the rights to the software you are having people Download No warez,Spy ware,Viruses or anything like it.

    If they need to signup for something free, that's not generally a problem. Just don't offer freebies if they use your affiliate link / CPA link, etc. It's also a good idea to mention that signup is required in the post so you don't frustrate people who expect an immediate download or something.

    Be sure to plainly state in freebie thread that by downloading they are opting in ____________________. Fill in blank regarding particulars of what they are opting into. As Jenn stated, appiliate link prmotions are not allowed.

    A lot of people do this and it's Ok. Just make sure your opt-in page uses a known autoresponder like aweber or getresponse.

    If members abuse their email list it'll end up being banned from DP. But for now forums like this and warriorforum are great for what you're doing. :)
