Coffeecup Google Sitemapper: Help to eliminate rubbish

    I bought a program called: Coffeecup Google Sitemapper and it seems to be a good program so far... only thing is that when it crawls my site it also gets extremely long an unecessary links. Example:

    http://www.webdesignerauctions.com/forum/posting.php?mode=newtopic&f=2

    AND:

    http://www.webdesignerauctions.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=25&mark=topics

    I have over 100 of these that vary. Most of these come from the forum (phpBB latest version installed)

    Is there something I can do about this? I have already tried excluding some of the syntax by adding ?mode=* in the excludes table of the software and nothing happens it still crawls the long text links.

    Maybe there's better software or a good script?

    I use the software, and though i've not had this problem, couldn't you just run the file through a search and replace function say in dreamweaver?

    Have you tried to contact Coffeecup about your problem? I think you should try that first.

    If you are looking for alternatives, I am happy to suggest my sitemap generator program. I ran a couple of quick tests which did not produce the problems you describe. In all fairness though, those tests were rather small and quick :)
