    Hi.
I downloaded a file with a TGZ extention.
I opened it with WinZip and get one file.
I open the file and about half way down I get some weird looking code.
Now, I'm not a programmer so maybe it's just something I don't recognize.

Or, did the file get corrupted or something by using Winzip?

    Thank you.

Try downloading the file again. If you still get that problem, try another decompresser ( I like www.7-zip.org )

    Hi Exam.

I downloaded that decompresser you linked to.

I got the same thing with the new file it created.

Maybe, it's because I then open the file in Notepad?
The file has no extention so I used notepad. I think it's supposed to php but I'm not sure.

The file I'm trying to use is at:

Can you post a snippet of the other code that's not the wild characters you posted before to see if it's supposed to be a source code file?
