How difficult is it to code a psd file? I'm running a contest for a new website design but a lot of the designers tell me they rather not do the coding. I'm not sure what the steps involved are. Is this something anyone with basic html and photoshop knowledge can do? Thanks, -Paul
You want to use photoshop to slice the image. after that, use CSS to fill up the website. You can slice and use the html photoshop makes, but it would be tables, and not proper CSS. I tend to use both because it makes of quicker work. anyway... check out these tutorials: csshowto.com/layout/psd-to-csshtml-in-easy-steps-part-1/ csshowto.com/layout/from-psd-to-csshtml-in-easy-steps-part-2/ csshowto.com/layout/from-psd-to-css-xhtml-in-easy-steps-part-3/ csshowto.com/layout/from-psd-to-css-html-in-easy-steps-part-4/
Try the tool SiteGrinder. It doesn't output perfect code but it does a pretty decent job if you have the time to fix it's code after it's done.
since when ? many novice designers actually design in photoshop, slice it out and use that as their site (obviously until they learn there's a much better way).
Coding is not a problem...but coding with perfection is problem....i think any one can learn css and html easily but learning with perfection is little tougher...some coders code only for firefox and the output will be best in firefox but the same output will be worst in IE....so getting output perfect in both firefox and IE is tougher who can do that he is good programmer.....if you want any help regarding html, css, php, javascript, web designing, web hosting, domain registration...pm me....
Coding should be most perfect ten the output will be performing well. So,designers well concentrate on photoshop to slice it for coding a psd file. Thanks for sharing this here.Visit benivolent.com
