Hey all, i thought i'd post this now before i magically spend all my money in my paypal...

i am on a tight budget, and am looking for someone to code a simple yet fast and in depth Torrent Search script....

    Budget: $0-20
    Time: Urgent...

    Features:
Must say where the torrent is from (preferably an image in a table)
Must show name of torrent, and link back to the Details Page of where it was searched..
Preferably include Seeders/Leechers & Size of Torrent...
and Preferably be easy to add more places to search...

    Searches:
These are the places i'd like for it to search...
    mininova.org
    myBittorrent.com
    isoHunt.com
    Fenopy.com
    BTJunkie.com
    Demonoid.com
    ThePirateBay.org
    SumoTorrent.com
    Bittorrent.com

(i would like all, but... some would be fine)

i know this is asking a fair bit... so yes, please message me so i know you have posted...

    Thanks...

You won't get someone to code that for only 20$

Your talking about someone building a site that searches 9 sites at once and then displays all the results back with links to the torrent?

    For $20?

You do realise that's about 3-4 hours work? and the average for a PHP ninja is like $50 a hour?

How fast do you type!:eek::eek:

Sad thing is, our work (as programmers) is being devalued by this type of thread ($20???), It wouldn't happen if people didn't take the jobs on, so I am sure somebody will do this.

I really can't imagine any programmer out there that would do this for that sort of money, The only likeliness that it would happen is that a programmer actually codes the application/script/website whatever, and sells a ton of copies of it for $20 each. And it's been done with a tone of scripts and it's really a shame because you end up with a ton of identical sites all over the internet with no real planning or anything just a 20$ gamble by the so called "webmaster".

I might be interested if you'd pay $50 for the script. Dannyboy, that's a good idea. To the original poster, if you aren't willing to pay that much, pm me anyway and I might just resell the same script to multiple people.

Agreed, it's purely ridiculous what it's coming down to. I have actual business clients, and they understand that you have to pay for quality, and if they want cheap and shitty work they can call up an Indian firm and get it done. But then when you tell someone you charge more than minimum wage for your work, people on forums spazz out. The market isn't even that saturated, it's just that there are tons of foreign coders who do this shit so much cheaper than any of us can afford to feed ourselves with, and you have a few people who have next to no experience but will do it for next to nothing as well. Obviously the quality isn't there, but for 90% of the people who get coding done, they have no idea what quality or shitty work looks like as long as they can see from the front end that it looks like it does what they wanted. It's a sad sad world =(
