Since CO2 is prevalent and Al Gore (PBUH) has prophesied the doom if we anger the god of gases, signs are being placed to help reduce the risk to humanity.

yeah! in small quantities Co2 doesn't kill you if you inhale it, so it can't be contributing to climate change... that's the point you were making, right?

CO2 does increase the temperature in a system.

There's a famous little experiment where you fill a test tube with water and put alka seltzer then measure the temp.

It goes up! CO2 causes global warming!

    Well, of course it does...
...But to emulate that effect on the Earth, which has a GIGANTIC atmosphere (all but the bottoms of your feet are in the atompshere...and even the bottoms if you want to be precise), an alka seltzer tablet the size of the moon would have to hit the Pacific Ocean.

Yes the greenhouse effect exists, no we are not powerful enough quite yet to have that much of a direct impact on it ourselves.

Though, of course, there is the concession that we put shit in our water that will ruin us far faster than what we emit into an environment set up with its own cleaning system (ie. trees). You can thank Du Pont when your grandsons don't have two testicles though due to pollutants, though.

Should I thank Du Pont right now for many posting on this forum having less than you stated below and inside the cranium?

As far as the alka selter experiment, what happens when you seal off the test tube and test the temp against another test tube with a normal amount of CO2? Are you measuring the temperature of the reaction or the presence of CO2?

Does everyone think all we breath is pure oxygen? We only breath about 20 percent oxygen. Take a wild guess what the rest is. Al Gore is a fucktard!

Anyone remember the Oscars and his movie.. Everyone kept saying who GREEN the Oscars were. I do not remember seeing a single compact fluorescent light in use on the that stage during the ceremony. I did not see a single actor pull up in a Prius Limo, nor did I hear about the bathrooms being limited to one toilet paper square per squatter.

People like Al are some of the biggest hypocrites on the planet when it comes to things like GC. I liked Al better when he was Bill's retarded lispy sidekick.

Mia, nobody thinks we breath pure oxegen, but apparently some don't understand that just because we can inhale co2 in modeate quantities that it doesn't mean it isn't contributing to climate change.

It's as illogical as saying that we drink water and breath oxegen, therefor they don't cause cars to rust.

I find it hard to believe we can affect climate change. Does it exist yes? Are we the cause? No. Some of us like to leave things like this up to Nature.

Still kinda wondering WTF the dinosaurs did in the overall scheme of things. And for those hell bent on believing the planet is 4.5 billion years old, I find it incomprehensible that humans could negatively affect a ball in space in just a couple hundred years.

CC and GW is pure bunk. We've only been recording weather for a little over 100 years and again, for those that think the earth is billions of years old, don't you think we might not have an established metric for which to gauge true climate change?

The planet would be a lot better off if people would stop trying to unfuck sit that ain't fucked.

The golden rule should always apply. If it ain't broke, don't fuck with it. This includes both those that contribute to pollution and those that try to undo it.

I suppose this guy is full of crap according to Gore and his peeps? So is he faking or twisting facts?

    http://www.dialup4less.com/~donald/globalwarming5.html

He seems to be working hard with pages of data documented from studies which he updates monthly http://www.dialup4less.com/~donald/globalwarming2.html

Hey, I'm as much for clean, natural air as I am for theories backed up with facts.

Let me be clear here. Do I believe climate change? Sure.
Do I believe man can affect it in either a positive or negative way? No.

Lol well there we go folks. Catastrophy averted. Mia "finds it hard to believe". Unfortunately, we can't all base our reality on what we believe, some have to base it in what they know and what the evidence suggests. Which, in the case of climate change, is that the release of co2 in to the atmosphere caused by our burning of fissile fuels is, at very least, contributing significantly to climate change.

The warming of the planet will produce higher co2 levels because it will release the co2 trapped in ice as it melts it, but we have known that for a long time which is why the debate at the moment is "is it too late?". But co2 is still a greenhose gas and we are still producing massive quantities of it.

Whoever wrote that article done a good job. But unfortunately he has missed the point, and the mountain of evidence refuting him.

If anyone disbelieves in mans impact on climate change all they have to do is prove that co2 isn't a greehouse gas which, if it isn't, would require nothing more than a college level experiment and a high school level paper explaining it. Funny how nobody has even tried to do this.

If they admit that co2 is a greenhouse gas and that by our actions we are releasing vast quantities of it in to the atmosphere then they have a hard time claiming that we aren't, at very least, having a significant impact.

We can argue against it because a politician we don't like supports it, we can highlight the hypocricy of taking a private jet to climate change awarness concerts, but none of that invalidates the hards facts that co2 is a greenhouse gas and we are pumping shit loads of it into the sky.

It is clear cut eric. I mean seriously, look at the petition. Only 1/3 of these so called "scientists" have a phd. These aren't scientists, they are liars and idiots. I could sign the petition as "professor nimo" and claim to have a "phd in fishing". That doesn't make me a scientists.

And guess which state has produced the most signatories... That's right, Texas. A state not so much known for it's academic intellectuals, but very much known for it's oil production.

And "world net daily"? Really? That's your source of information? You really are scraping the bottom of the barrel trying to justify your belief in the patently untrue this time.

Disproven that co2 os a greenhouse gas yet? No, didn't think so.....
