.co.UK Help please

Hi all I live in the USA but would like to purchase a website that happens to be in UK. I only want the site and name to trade mark and use for my niche here in USA. I am not sure what to do about the domain name. Ideally I would like to keep and redirect to my site, but I don't live in UK, nor have the business there, nor want to register my personal info just to have it. We currently don't have to do that to have a com business here. Does anyone have any advice? Or if I can even have the .co.UK to purchase site without being a UK citizen. TY in advance for any help. Sorry this is long.

You should have an UK address.
    Best of luck.

I'm pretty certain you can buy the co.uk domain even though you are not based in UK. Like you said though there has to be a contact name and address for the Whois information. Someone else might come along with some better ideas but one way to keep your details private might be to have a virtual office based in the UK. This way you could put the address of the virtual office in the Whois directory

You won't get whois protection for .uk if you are outside uk, rest is okay
