Hello i only see www.yoursite.co.uk domains , why there is NO www.yoursite.uk domains ??? looks silly question but really who knows why ?
Simple answer - they are just not offered. Some large public sector organisations have their own second level domains (nhs.uk, police.uk, mod.uk, parliament.uk), but generally third level domains under .co.uk are the norm. Also available for public registration are .org.uk and .me.uk, but these are rarely used.
Because there isnt such a domain extension. I think it;s only. .co.uk .org.uk .gov.uk Thats it. No .uk's i think.
I know they are not offered but WHY United States have .us Canada have .ca Italy have .it Germany have .de Why United Kingdom the only one which don't have own domain name , doesn't make sense
.co.uk .org.uk .net.uk .ltd.uk .plc.uk .me.uk .sch.uk .gov.uk .ac.uk .police.uk .mod.uk .nhs.uk .parliament.uk When the internet started nobody knew how it would grow or what conventions would become the norm. UK names were first available in the 1980's and it was a manual process. A few .uk's were given out before the subdomain.uk convention was established. .UK is the world's forth largest registry and it was a way to subdivide the demand and allow more names to be registered. Australia uses the same com.au convention.
