A couple of years ago .com and .cm were a lot higher than they are now. I'm going to guess 2-3 more years and the price will drop.

It's like an i-phone, they will get all they can at $600 each and then suddenly it's $200.

scithe, maybe you're talking about a bit more than 2 years ago, in fact I think .com domains were actually cheaper before that Verisign became involved.
If I'm not wrong Verisign is allowed to increase .com domain prices up to 7% per year.

I hear namecheap's got d best offer at $22.xx each and i don't know if there are any coupons to lower that down.
godaddy on the other hand gives it @ $29.99 each and lowers it down to $24.99 in bulk (21 and above) though afaik there's currently an available code that lowers the .co at bulk price even if you buy just one.

The extra expense you spent in gdd may be a bit too much for others but, imo, the upper hand is that gdd is the leading and trusted entity with domain names and if you plan on flipping these domains over it's easier to refer end users to it for an instant push considering familiarity... it's much easier. another advantage is the premium listing option and other than that, gdd auctions is also picking up some sales - both of which for exclusive gdd client use.

i personally don't know if namecheap has such services that lead to other opportunities of a domain sale

    hope the info helps :)

I personally don't like godaddy shopping cart with continuous attempts to push useless products you don't want in your cart
domain privacy is consistently cheaper at namecheap than at godaddy ( that's the only additional option I'd get with a domain, all the rest sounds like useless stuff to me )

maybe doing a bit of research you can find .co names even cheaper
