Co-Op is an ad network and often brings in alittle traffic, some sites work with Co-Op and others don't (like directories, seo contest sites, etc. It's wise to use a bit of both.
tis against tos to use a bit of both. I'm gonna install linkvault 2nite i reackon. coop weight system is wacked atm
I have to agree with that, I have sites that dropped form 20k weight down to 7...9...0. Nothing has changed, PR is still the same page numbers are the same .... I will stick it out a bit longer, I there are problems but I think Shawn is pre-occupied with keeping the sites going and installing new servers. Everything should settle down when the servers are up and running.
well permanent links & catergories...i'll let ya know how link vault goes, if its crap hopefully when i come back to coop the weight issues will b fixed & i'll just swap it over again
That may be but if the problems relating to the coop were resolved the issue wouldn't be raised. It's just frustration that causes the issue to keep popping up.
Maybe if you could cite exactly the problems with coop are they could be addressed. For instance what site exactly are you showing no weight for.
For me the key difference is that link vault lets me choose which pages on my sites I display the links on, and which I keep clean.
Well there is a problem somewhere...if my weight goes from 20k down to 9 with these results according to the tools ?? URL .............................Search Engine ...Back Links PageRank Pages In URL Last Check www.student-loans-hub.com Google......... 66...........4............21,000........ May 14, 2006 My Sites Referrals How to receive weight bonuses Base: 9 Consolidation: 0 Referrals: 0 Your Weight: 9 If thats all the weight I receive then there is definately a problem. I have other sites with similar results. I'm not about to quit the coop, I remain loyal to something that has given me good results in the past.
I think it's a api problem, but it's not just limited to the co-op. The keyword tracker is doing funky things also. IT's like it's not connecting to the api servers maybe? I've lost probably about 1/4 of my total weight over hundreds of sites.
I dont think there is any *problem* ... and as people are emailing me and pm'ing me there sites its easy to see that google has devalued them and not the digital point coop.
there is some trouble with google deleting the pages and i think CO OP takes data from Google and hence the weight drops. but i have seen it going up and down many a times now.
Nope, just checked one specific one of mine, I thought I'd check in the DP keyword tracker as this pulls from the same source - the API. All my positions have allegedly gone N/A. If I keep trying and trying eventually it will check without an error and restore my serp positions. Right now I cannot get it to give me a PR or page count to check the weight score. My guess, API is goofed.
>>>>My guess, API is goofed. I would suspect the same. I have several sites showing thousands of pages using a site:domain.com query, yet have been all but stripped of coop weight
