Or you need to work on on-page seo or get more links outside the Coop.

    Don't forget, the Coop isn't a magic #1 potion.

    Funny... Why?

I'm not new to the coop - ID is 1582. I had not touched it for quite sometime because I was worried of the linking method. Just want to know how to better use the linking.

Because it sounded like you didn't appreciate the answer. I'm not saying you should but I wasn't expecting any 'funny' comments. Because you can never tell without intonation in speech, I thought I'd ask to be sure. But because you sincerely meant it, all is fine.

Turns out I was making a bigger deal out of something than necessary, but wanted to know for peace of mind. Case closed.

You're just overreacting. Suspicion isn't a good friend. Hope this isn't a funny comment.

Suspicion isn't, clarity is. I wouldn't say asking is overreacting. If I really thought it was sarcasm then I would've posted differently.

Anyway, let's get back on topic shall we?

    Thanks for the great post.

I have a question relating to what you stated above. I currently have my co op ads displayed on all phpbb forum pages, and the forum index page is a PR4. I have a PR5 home page so would like to take advantage of this. It isn't just a matter of transferring the ad_network.php file to the root directory, doing so makes the ads on the forum pages not load correctly. Would it be possible you give a more detailed explanation on how to go about doing this?

    Cheers

But surely, you'll have to have the ads on all pages 'under' the base url yuo want the PR of. You can't just have the ads within some obscure folder and then move the files to the root to get the PR7 or whatever as the value.

I'm having a similar issue in phpBB, and that other post didn't answer it.

I have phpBB installed on a sub directory. I have the ads running on the main site (well. almost... but that's where my ad_network.php file is). My page_tail.php file should include the line:
However, since my ad_network.php file is in my root directory, I don't want "$phpbb_root_path", I want that to refer to my root, right? What do I need to replace that with?

    thanks,

    ^ include("/home/USERNAME/public_html/ad_network.php);

Horrible way to do it, requires open base dir to be off, however, works for me (cPanel only!)

Thanks for your suggestion. I tried this by editing and uploading, then went through cPanel too, and it doesn't work for me. What's open base dir and how can I make sure it's off?

    thanks
