    End of story?
What is with you guys - what's the point of a discussion forum if everytime anyone brings up any questions/problems they get told to like it or lump it. A valid point was raised, there are other solutions than just leaving the co-op, like for instance - bringing up the issue on this forum in the hope that it will be addressed.

Sorry, but it's a fact....some people are concerned about this - which is why the issue was raised. Would you rather those people just hacked the php code to prevent these ads showing? rather than going thru the official channels.

What a great Idea, with 4 sites, that's what? Fourty ads I can run?

Thanks for the tip! I need the weight! A month of that should pay off greatly!

    Apologies...

Yes - people are right to voice any concerns they have about the network.

At the same time (And in my defence), I have seen so many threads where people are complaining about the way the network works, it just gets old...
That's my fault, no one elses...

Maybe I should stop looking at the threads... :)

I understand - sometimes a point does get hammered a bit too much. The good thing is - people have an opinion about this stuff and consider the co-op important enough to make the effort to post to this (rather unfriendly) forum.

I'd say this issue is more to do with how the co-op is used, rather than how it works. What would your opinion be if you saw an ad that said 'Hosted by XYZ Hosting Inc' or 'Copyright ABC Web Co Ltd' etc appearing at the bottom of one of your pages?

Anyway - unless Shawn makes a decision on this matter - this is a pretty pointless discussion :p

Now that isn't exactly a fair example... ;)

    That is an outright lie...

The other link technically isn't. (Although it is pushing the boat out a bit.)

Well currently I don't personally have any issues with people running ads with their referral link in it. It would never dominate the network because if someone put all their weight towards one of those ads, the only thing that is going to happen is their referral ad gets showed more. The whole idea I would think would be to get weight so they can run THEIR ads.

Either way, if it gets out of hand (like the buying/selling of weight did), that may change in the future.

That was the point of my post, to see if we could get to the threshold and quit the banter.

I'd say we just got a definative answer.

    Thanks.
