I have just registered for Co-op and as mentioned there, I have put all the files (php and text) in my directory. I have also edited .htaccess and everything looks fine. than I put the code in one of the html pages and it did showed ads :) but NOW WHAT ?

Do I have to put that code on all of the pages of my site ? my Co-op account is saying that "Site failed automatic validation as of 2006-01-26 (make sure URL and site type is correct " ..ofcourse the site link is correct, so what should I do now ? how can my account gain weight by referrals ?

    Regards

Don't worry, we were all newbies once :)

Have you pressed the "validate" button? What happens? If all is well you should get a weight score.

You do need ads on every page of your website. So if it fails it will probably tell you what page they're not found on.

Let us know the URL so we can investigate.

Poseidon, you must put the ads, on every page that Google sees (Every page indexed in Google).

Only after that, your account will validate, and you will earn some weight.

Oh :( this sucks. Now I have to manually add the ads on every page. Anyway this can take time as I am still adding pages to the site. I guess I will wait for 2 weeks and than look to get validated.

Hmmm I think it's still not that late. I mean I am still building my site so I can still move to CMS or something like that. What do u say ? are they free ?

For a smaller site like mine, what can be a better option to manage my site better?

Search 'Open Source CMS' and you will find the likes of Drupal, Joomla etc. All great functionality, free, expandable etc. etc. Do it while it's small - it'll be a nightmare later.
