Co-op and PDF

I have a php page that creates PDFs for products. The Co-op ads will not work on this because it handles jpeg images and not gif images. What can I do to solve this?

Can you block the PHP script in your robots.txt file?

What is the user agent that I should use in the robots.txt file to block it?

Why would I want to block the googlebot from the php file? The issue is this site wont validate for co-op because the ads are not included on this page that creates PDF format product brochures.

The ad network uses the Google index to find random pages to validate.

Easiest IMO is to shift the PDF script to a folder outside the base URL tree.

I see what your saying now. I obviously don't want to block googlebot from the whole site but I could block it from that page. Googlebot does seem to like PDFs for some reason.

You can use robots.txt to block just a single page. For example, this is the robots.txt that www.digitalpoint.com uses:

    User-agent: *
    Disallow: /tools/suggestion/?
    Disallow: /search.php
    Code (markup):

I am going to disallow googlebot from that page. Thanks for your help and I will let you know if it still fails to validate for some reason.

I have disallowed the googlebot, so how long will it be before I can be validated?

Forever at the longest. Peole have seen years old cached files in Google. Best to use that removal request tool.
