Co-op and Link-vault together!!

Discussion in 'Co-op Advertising Network' started by honey, Aug 3, 2005.

As per digitalpoint co-op TOS, I think websites can NOT use link-vault and co-op together on the same websites. However, I see a lot of websites doing it.

Is there nothing done to prevent this ? Or is it allowed now Shawn ?

Co-op ads and LV ads cannot be run at the same pages. They can be running on the same site.

If I am right, both systems require that the links should be there on ALL pages of the website.

I have seen both LV and coop running on same pages & all pages of the website.

You can have a subdomain that doesn't have co-op ads but does have LV ads on it if I'm not mistaken.

In the early days of LV I noticed a site with LV and co-op ads on it and posted my findings here. Shawn said he took care of the offender. If I were you, post the offenders here and Shawn will take care of them. As users we can police the co-op better than a handful of admins can.

Guys, I was trying not to be the person reporting. May be some of them are not aware. I just cross checked, and I have a ready list of atleast 5 websites doing this right now. One of them is a DP member, that I know of, so just sent him a PM.

There have been several threads about these kind of sites and all of them were taken care off...

It is a TOS violation and Shawn has made that very clear several times

Whilst on the subject of what is allowed and what is not, I notice a few adult related links creeping into my stats, I'm not 100% sure but think they are coming in through the coop.

No. link vault allows you to pick and choose which pages you place their links on if you don't want to put them on all pages.

I'm surprised some ppl are running both.

I did'nt knew LV allows you to pick some pages, but the question is that if they are running coop on the website, then they have it on all the pages, they have to. In that case, if they have LV on even one page, that is against TOS.

    Right !!??

Any page that has both coop and LV ads is a violation of the coops TOS. Just report em'. I've reported a bunch myself and don't have a problem calling people out who are cheating the system.

I am seeing this allot, as well. I gave up reporting it as it seems some just don't get it. Although most that are doing this aren't aware of breaching TOS.

To confirm, yes you can run LV and DP on same site. Must be different directories. Remember, if you do this you need to log in to your DP coop acct. and tell it where DP code is running, eg. http://www.yourdomain.com/directoryname

correct, but no way we can run both coop and LV on the same pages. That is what is against TOS as per my understanding.
