co-op and Interchange?

I currenly belong to the co-op with a php based site, however, I also have a couple of e-commerce sites that have been up for years which use a e-commerce software package developed by RedHat called Interchange. It’s one of the best packages available for larger sites and now it’s open source. It can do anything you want but has a steep learning curve (google uses the software for its store). The problem is that it cannot process php files. Apache doesn't process the Interchange pages, but hands the pages to the Interchange server/daemon. Since Apache never even sees or process the physical HTML input/output, the html work around for the co-op won’t work.

I don’t suppose anyone has gotten the co-op to work with interchange or developed a perl solution?
