The co-op is coming back and telling me it hasn't found an ad on the following page. http://www.favoritepart.com/Forum/Default.aspx?g=rsstopic&pg=active
There really isn't a way for it to know that's an XML feed based on the URL... you may want to put the word "xml" somewhere in the URL (if possible).
Shouldn't the document type be xml? I'm starting to get the same error in other places too like... http://www.dotdesk.com/portal/DesktopModules/Forum/Forum_Rss.aspx?forumid=4&tabid=174&mid=509 Was there a recent code change?
Ok, so I think Google might be indexing my xml feeds and showing in the SERPs. I would rather not block this with robots.txt but how else would I get the coop to stop looking at these pages?
Put something in them so the ad network knows they are XML. For example: http://www.dotdesk.com/portal/DesktopModules/Forum/Forum_Rss.aspx?forumid=4&tabid=174&mid=509&xml
Shouldn't the application just look at the first line of the page to determine content? Sorry Shawn, if this makes more work for you. I'm sure the fact that you are making zero dollars from the co-op doesn't help motivate.
