    I know "Premium" and 3 letter .com domains are pretty valuable, but what about .co domains? Worth registering for resell or no?

    Yep. I believe there is a fair bit of potential with these. I've pre-ordered a few hundred through LCN.com www.lcn.com/co_domain_names and feel for less than 30 quid the resale potential of any which I secure will far outweigh the investment.
    Most registrars are offering a no-win-no-fee system for general availability so it limits the risk.

    Main focus is now on the auction prices any of the popular .CO domains within the Landrush period. The domainers with the deepest pockets usually make or break a new domain launch.

    LCN is not affiliated with COinternet SAS

    I used godaddy and i bet all your "pre-ordered" are already taken at godaddy.

    I just realized that letter.co is taken at GoDaddy but at LCN it's available !

    i will never seen it in my search result of any domain beside .com .blogspot .net or .org and very less to see domain .co so i would think i dont like .co and even dont recommend anybody to register for it.

    If you're doing business in Colombia, yes; otherwise, no.

    .co will have some nice in the start sales just like .cm and than it will be totally forgotten
    I'd say only generic .com domains will have value.

    The problem is dot domains are becoming harder to come buy so all the registrars are looking for new options. .ws was meant to become the whole 'personal website' suffix which never really took of (unless you are a GDI affiliate). They did manage to pull of the .tv change but TV media is big business so there was a big market to play to with deep pockets.

    I don't see .co making a dent unless you get your hand on some prime domain name microsoft.co or something equally big(just don't put a webpage on it or they will sue you) and hope that the company care enough to want a .co

    .COM = commerce for gTLDs
    .CO = commerce for ccTLDs

    They haven't launched .CO domains yet so you wouldn't be seeing them anywhere. I think the landrush is an exciting opportunity to grab some amazing one word generics in a potentially hot new domain extension.

    Also, you can pre-register .CO domains here cheap (if you are price sensitive).

    .cm and .me are not TLDs, unlike .CO. Right?

    So .CO is ccTLD, unlike .COM?
    And ccTLD != TLD?

    Sorry, I'm new to this, maybe anyone can help me. :)

    Edit:
    After some googling, I understand that .COM is gTLD.
    So .CO is ccTLD, not gTLD? I thought it's becoming generic (gTLD).

    a ccTLD is a country code top level domain. it is expressed by 2 letters

    .com /.net/ .org etc are gTLD (generic top level domain)

    Also have a look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tld

    Thanks for answering.
    I think it's pretty useless extension then. I could aswell just register .WS or whatever. :/

    I even remember somebody saying .CO will replace .COM. Haha :D
