Hi A good news for .co domain owners as google has turned on Geo Targeting For .CO so technically .co now became .com you can now target US traffic also. so better than any other TLD. And now the last problem solved and people will see there domain prices as close as .com so if the flying.co sell for $30000 then now price close to $1500000 Here is a video how to do this http://www.domainerincome.com/news/how-to-turn-on-geotargeting-for-co-domain-names/
And? Not sure what this accomplishes really. The .co domain still pales in comparrison to .com .net and .org.
I guess.... it is nothing but one more push to make people rush for registering new names with .co and one more attempt at maintaining the hype! Regards, RightMan
This action is taken by google and not by .co registry so no question of any hype And creating hype and make people aware about new product/idea/technology is not bad. Every new technology/idea needs some hype to attract investment and users (e.g. Hybrid cars)
like Steve Balmer, ...remember when he said about Apple’s iPhone, “‘There’s no chance that the iPhone is going to get any significant market share. No chance.â€.
As you might know getting in the first page of google take sometime, .co is relatively still new but if you are curious about it search for "cointernet" and see who's first. Thanks
You can email google and ask them that question. if you do so you would be already dealing with google concerning .cos and that's already a success
This is definitely a good thing for .CO, but I don't as of yet its possible to say whether it will become successful or not. I'm hedging my bets and have got a couple of pretty good .CO domains, but I'm not going overboard with my registrations at the moment.
Once again it is a shame many who speak negatively about .co don’t understand that it’s a business. .co is a business and there isn’t a single care about comparing it to .com. There is no business in their right mind who would want to be sold as a typo or the “.com minus the m†thingy. When people compare .com and .co, the first thing i think is “Whoa, they are scared about something. .co is an entirely different companyâ€. Essentially, no need to be afraid for your .com portfolio. That’s something different. But it would be nice to read some constructive thought from those who prefer to make radical (and sometimes slanderous) emotional statements that have no basis in the reality of this .co business model which already has been the most successful launch in history. Like I’ve said before, .co has withstood the test of time already – people wanted it back in 1995 (and there were lots, but it was unaccessible) and now people still want it 15 years later. Why? Because “co†is a dictionary defined abbreviation meaning “company†and it’s been that way for hundreds of years, long before the internet was around. If some people had done their homework on internet history, they would have known this “1995″ fact, had some patience, and perhaps gone after .co rather than burn money on .mobi, .tel or the likes. Sorry but good business is much more research and due diligence than it is hype. Meanwhile, there are still crap .com names registered every day by people thinking they can make a quick buck.
