CNN, Biased media??

So some "graphics guru" at CNN "accidentally" replaced Osama with the word Obama in a headline...The head of CNN personally called Obama to apologize...

    Article here

However, I remember a big black "X" showing up on a cheney speech (I think it was cheney) and it took days for them to apologize. So, is CNN biased?

I think all media outlets are biased to some extent. as for CNN i doubt they would do this, they would take a big hit if this was on purpose.

Hehehe. I had to read what you wrote twice -- I thought CNN had to call up Osama bin Laden to offer an apology to him!

That would be kind of funny, I wouldn't put it past them to have a reporter embedded with him, or should I say in bed with him....hmmm, anyway on a side note, where in NC are you from? I was in salisbury last weekend visiting some family and friends.

    Raleigh area.

I heard that Osama has a thing for his first lieutenant. Could this be true?! Maybe Anderson Cooper could find that out.

Aww... Bashing Anderson Cooper. He's the one of the few reporters I actually like. He actually stated on a show that he thought that the reporters in Iraq were just gathering pointless arguments from sunny day supporters who flip-flopped depending on what happened that day.

Okay, we'll send Wolf Blitzer instead. It doesn't matter -- most of the reporters are sitting in the comfort of their hotel rooms far from the action writing whatever comes to mind. Then again, CNN wouldn't be so willing to show much balance even if it was presented to them.

Fox News does a much better job in presenting people from both sides of the political spectrum. They always have reps from the DNC and RNC duking it out while with CNN you would be hard pressed to find that much evenness.

Not from what I have heard. Well, those who have never watched it tend to say that...

Excellent observation. In fact, they have so many liberal moonbats on sometimes (not quite so balanced) that I have to turn the channel.

If liberals and those who are generally anti-American (always blame American first, etc) actually spent some time watching it, they'd see a lot more dem/liberal guests then they would on other shows.

The only reason some suggest otherwise is because other media outlets are so far biased to the left, that seeing a balance is actually offensive to them.

Till I hit the internet in 2000, I never heard of fox being this evil thing.

Frankly I don't really watch much media, personally. Cspan (of the actually speeches on the floor of congress) and different opinions are usually a lot better. I often listen to the supreme court arguments, too.

But I don't kiss any media ass...whether it be PBS, BBC, Fox, CNN. I don't need their views to gain my own.

But what I find odd is that people think less of Fox than they do of people such as Alex Jones. Really,...AJ makes Fox seem like award winning news. But, ehhhh...

Well 5 corporations own approximately 90% of the MSM (Mainstream Media)

That is why they all pretty much say the same as each other, it's perfect for controlling the sheeple.

Good thing with the internet is that there are some good alternative media outlets where not everyone is singing from the same hymn sheet.

Not all of the news from the alternative media is true of course but if Mr Average was to read a little bit more about the other side of the "News" he might start to think a little bit more, rather than relying on the usual crap from FOX, CNN, ABC, BBC etc.

    Source?

And yet your opinion of Iraq is identical to the media. How do you explain that?
