    Guess someone here on DP figured out he was a scammer. I've filed a complaint with PayPal to get my money back as I don't have the site yet. It was really funny, he suggested that in order for me to get the site from him, I just install WordPress and he would copy and paste the posts into my new installation. It was really funny. Even funnier is the fact that he puts "I'm honest" in the first post. :)

    Oh well, just as I suspected, PayPal has denied any type of resolution. Win some and lose some, I guess. Guess this just goes to show that you need to do you own due diligence when buying and selling here. The deal looked too good to be true, so I just wanted to win it before someone else did and didn't really do enough research on the seller.

    As this stands right now, I have the database for the site and that's it. No help on the install like he promised, no domain names pushed to my godaddy account, and no adsense revenue. Chalk this one up to a bad investment, since he's banned here now and chances are this will never get resolved.

    I can try contacting my bank on Monday, but I doubt they can do anything. I pay everything in PayPal via EFT/bank account rather than credit card.

    I should have known, honey, that if you weren't bidding on it that it wasn't very good. I may have just registered here, but I've been reading these forums for a while now. :)

    El_Kabong - bad news that you were ripped off. The install isn't hard and I'd be happy to help you do that bit.

    Getting your mits on the domain name is the real problem though... good luck on resolving that!

    And yes, it's up to the members to do due diligence. DP can't do it for you or they'd have to start charging to join and post.

    No worries, I can do the install, just that it was part of the deal, more like an added bonus I guess. I can do that, but without the domain names what he gave me is useless.

    FYI, I wouldn't expect DP to do any due diligence on the sellers. Never suggested it.

    Ah, ok you're right now that I remember it. :)

    Just out of curiosity, is this the reason this person got banned here? I'm trying to write up a case for both my bank and for PayPal to nail him to the wall. I know I probably won't ever see my $125 again but I'd sure like to do whatever I can to make sure he can't scam anyone else in the future.

    Dont write to your bank or paypal. Just file a dispute with them about this... say you never received the item..

    It may take 20 days or so for them to complete investigation but its worth it to get your money back.. PM me if you need more help.
