Aside from wordpress & movableType, what are the other recommended cms/scripts for a recipe site? Suggestions and recommendations are much appreciated. Thanks.
you can use www.opensourcecms.com to check the demo of various cms scripts or www.cmsmatrix.org to compare various free and paid cms scripts I will recommend you to test drupal, mambo and joomla and see which fits your need the best
I'm a huge fan of Drupal, I've been using it for everything lately (fictionclassics.com being the latest). It works "out of the box" and has a ton of modules for indexing and displaying content if you want to do anything fancy. Most of the free themes are pretty plain, but they're easy to customize. I have sites using both Drupal and Joomla and I spend a lot more time working on the Drupal site since it's so easy to add content to.
My bet would be joomla, there are tons of components having the features you need for a joomla based recipe site. do msg me if you need some help. cheers.
i have to agree. joomla is a good choice. if you dont like joomal then either mambo or drupal would be your second best option.
Well, if he doesn't like joomla, then he probably won't like mambo either If he does go for Joomla, then here are some extensions he might want to try for managing recipes. http://extensions.joomla.org/compon...search/Itemid,35/searchword,recipes/cat_id,0/
