CMS for a database of people?

    Hello,

    I'm looking for a very simple CMS where I could create, what I could only describe, as an online yearbook photo album, or, a database of people.

    I want a website where you could search someones name, a 'post' would show up showing their image and then text. But I literally want it to be that simple. It's kind of a database of people.

    People can register and use a word-press style post editor to post a person. However, posts are subject to moderation prior to publication.

    I do not really want to use WordPress unless there's a theme that is that simple and minimalistic. I haven't found one yet.

    I would be forever grateful if solutions could be provided.

    Any of the basic cms will do that for you. There are plenty of simple templates for wordpress,you just need to configure them or wrote a child theme of one of the standard themes.

    You'd create a category for the people - grad year? Specialist skill? And tags to further define them and let people set to adding themselves etc.

    The only other alternative would be a wiki style site.

    Ghost is a headless CMS designed to create blogs and online magazines. However, Ghost can also create simple online yearbook photo albums. Ghost is easy to use and customize, and it is also very scalable.
