I've been reading and searching here but i can't find an exact answer. In an older thread someone stated that you did not need to have a website to open up an amazon store, or become an affiliate. I plan on starting one in the future, but at the moment i don't have one. I just tried to sign up to be an associate and there is a section for listing your website profile and it wont let me leave it blank. Something must have changed and a website is required now? Is the best solution just to use a free website for now, or to do it when i have a site up and running? I'd rather set one up now and integrate it later into my site. Also, they ask you to specifically categorize what you intend to sell, i assume that this can be changed later if i want to add another store, or change the one i have? Sorry if this stuff has been asked a million times, but i haven't been able to find an answer using search. Thanks in advance for any info!
I would go ahead and register a domain name first if you haven't done that yet. From there you can temporarily point it to a free host, or service, then you can sign up for the Amazon Associates program. I'm sure you're going to enjoy amazon associates, many people have been using it with great success. thanks, PuReWebDev
Thanks for the info. I do have some domains that i've been parking for too long. That's why i'm looking into doing something with them. I think i'll hold out until i get something setup instead of using a free site. Seems like it'd be more work to move everything. Thanks again for the info!
