I agree. I was confused about the ending. it was like...wtf? now what? they kill the monster? it just felt like there should be more to be told. but they just seemed to cut it off early. Way too early. (I don't even know if they killed the monster)
It was a very cool idea but I got tired of this movie when the parasites came along. Something about the parasites just bugged the hell out of me. I could buy that we had one giant organizm which no one had seen before but that it also had a brand new species of parasites clinging to it. And that the parasites would attack humans. Just alittle too farfetched for me.
Dude you did a brilliant work by giving this crap!! Although I havent seen this movie but still I am not that crazy who will read this whole article!!
Hate to offend anyone but Cloverfield is by far the dumbest movie I've ever seen in my life. Seriously. After I watched it I was pretty pissed about wasting my time sitting and paying attention. I wish I could get my money back. GRRRR.
Halflife kicks arse! When did the movie explain it was from outer space? --- As for the creature having five legs... http://www.joblo.com/arrow/index.php?id=11122 Here are some pics of the action figure.
Loved it, original, fun, loud , all you need for a movie in my eyes. Those who say they don't like the ending don't have much of an imagination.
I saw it on opening day. I hated it. It felt like those annoying Teens from a GAP commercial walked into a Godzilla movie and the kids from the Blair Witch Project filmed it. I mean that in the worst possible way. I didn't care about the characters. I didn't care what happened to them. The shaky camera got annoying very fast and the ending was just a huge let down.
I remember when they started filming their goodbyes I was like "HELL NO THIS IS THE END...!" Lo and behold... it was the end.
After hearing so many good reviews of this movie I couldn't wait to go and see it, but boy was I disappointed. In my opinion it was probably one of the biggest letdowns of the year. It was unrealistic, and I felt nothing for the main characters of the film. I mean if your friend who was holding the video camera just got gobbled by a huge monster woulld you run back to save the video camera? Whilst we are on the subject of video cameras how the hell did the battery and tape last for 7 whole hours. Maybe if they spent more time looking after themselves rather than the camera they may of escaped the beast lol. I can't help but feel if this movie was shot like a regular movie it would be a million times better. Anyway enough of my rambling lol just my 2 cents Clare
i cant see how you can say that.... "shot like a regular movie" the whole idea of the movie is to see it from the persons own eyes. I found it to be a amazing unique idea and well worth a watch! Its more of how you view the movie not what its about.
I thought this film sucked, but I am sure that it would have been much better at the theatre then on my laptop
yeah, there was one regular movie watcher on DP, Bebicul? he said he loved this movie not necessarily b/c of the movie itself but b/c of the atmosphere/experience that he got while watching it @ the theater. I imagine the LT did not do it much justice!
It's a movie with really bad cameography. I understand why it was shot this way, but I had a headache after watching the whole film.
