Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs

Saw this the other day, found it surprisingly good for an animated film targeted towards children! Although I wouldn't rank it as highly as Up, which was brilliant, it definitely has some memorable moments and is worth seeing.

Basically follows the life of an ambitious inventor who can't seem to do anything right, but finally stumbles upon an invention that actually works and helps his hometown... A machine that turns water into food! And, as you can imagine from the title, causes food to rain from the sky.

It's good to see some high-quality animated films coming out nowadays, which has been lacking since the likes of Toy Story from when I was a kid. Coraline wasn't bad either, Monsters & Aliens had some laughs, and (mentioned earlier) Up was great.

Anyone had a chance to see this film yet, or any of the others I mentioned? Worth a look, not just for kids!

No, but I really want to see it. I will wait until it comes out in DVD. I remember reading the book in 2nd grade though. Every time someone would ask me what the weather was like, I would say "Cloudy with a chance of meatballs" as a joke. No one ever got it. I would tell them about the book, but they hadn't heard of it. I am so glad this movie came out now!

I saw it and loved it!! It was such a clever story, although, it got me thinking on how true to life it is in some parts of the US. Not the food falling from the sky, obviously, but how fast food is fattening up our nation and making us lazier and lazier. I say this as I'm sipping a 7/11 slurpee as I type...

I saw it last year, but not in 3D version, and I like it, too! It's raining sunshine!

I loved it, it's the typical tale of a guy who dreams of making it big as a scientist. Partly tells the story of my childhood - except of course, I ended up elsewhere instead of making it rain food :D

Its a fantastic animated movie I ever watched. The basic idea of this movie attracts me most.
I am expecting scientist like Flint, but need balanced food for us. I wanna try various kind of foods as I watched in that movie........
