    Hello,
I was wondering if anyone knew the best way to market a clothing brand. I have a general way to market my clothes. It's a stake/snow brand. Does anyone know?

    Thank you,
    Andrew Stawicki

If it's your own line have you thought about going wholesale? If that's not an option my sister-n-law started her own clothing line on ebay and moved up to her own store online.

Well I will have my own store. I going to use a wholesaler too. I was just wondering where the best place to advertise is. I will be putting my clothes on amazon. Does anyone know how to get into a online store like tactics.com.

By store do you mean physical store or online store?

If its an online store the best place to advertise is probably online.

As for getting your products on tactics.com, you would probably have to call them, ask to speak to the manager and talk business. Of course I would talk to many many such stores to get the best deals and the maximum exposure.

Like m.stevens said, ya gotta advertise.

I'm going to assume you have a Website.

Create a line of good, cool, eye-catching ads, and then get them critiqued.

Also get your site critiqued BEFORE you start advertising.

Then place your ads in sites that its visitors may like. For example, if you have Vann sneakers, go to the sites the younger crowd hangs out at, like, say, collegehumor.com.

For women, try such sites like, ivillage.com.

Do a search for the type of sites that may fit in with what you are looking for.

I would also focus on getting your product out there and used by the "leaders" of your audience. For example, if looking for a skateboarding niche, look for upcoming competitions and offer some of the competing skaters your product to wear. The top ones may be sponsored already, so they wouldn't be an option, but there will likely be some that aren't sponsored. GET PHOTOS (of course, get their permission to use in promotion).

The idea is to give your product an identity and associate with those that can validate your brand. Even if they're not the top skaters, the fact they're competing can still lend credibility.

Sounds pretty hard, especially with all the companies that you'll be competing with. But if the line is really good, try sponsoring some amateur(but good) skaters, get videos of them wearing your clothes, take pics, etc, and try to make the line go viral.
