    How would i go about closing them down. Because the sites were sold.

    Open the thread and click on the bad post report button (triangle with exclamation point) found at bottom left beneath your post.

    You shouldn't need to close the thread. Assuming you used the normal sale system, it should mark it as sold automatically when it's sold.
